Royal Yacht Iduna Plate

This is a superb plate plate made by KPM in 1913 for the use of Kaiser Wilhelm the Second on his Yacht the Iduna . The dinner plate has a nice gold trim to the edge with the Kaiser's flag to the top over the letters K.Y.C. over a blue banner with the name IDUNA on it. The center has the Prussian order of the black eagle medal on it with the edgle in the center underneath the words SUUM CUIQUE which means To each his own . A stunning plate from the royal yacht service in perfect condition! The piece is 1.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 10 inches. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter, the red orb, the 150 year anniversary mark in red as well as some black numbers, a black artist's mark and impressed marks common to the early 20th century pieces.
