Relief Scene Bowl

This is a bowl made by KPM just after WWII. It is called a Rohtrautschale and was created by Gerhard Gollwitzer in 1936. It is decorated in relief on the outside which is left unglazed and the inside is glazed so it can be used. The decoration is of deer and and people on stylized horses riding around the bowl. There is also some trees and flowers. It is a really neat design. This is the white version with a black laquered wooden stand. The bowl is 4.75 inches tall and 9.25 inches in diameter. It is in perfect condition and marked underneath with the blue scepter with the S underneath as well as Made in Germany US Zone and the usual impressed marks of this period.
