Weichmalerei Portrait Tray / Plaque

This is an amazing tray meant to be more of a portrait platter or plaque made in the Art Nouveau period by KPM in the early 20thC. The tray is in the Neu Osier style with a nice basket weave edge and lots of gold trim all around but the amazing and rather rare part is the amazing portrait of a young lady / girl with lots of flowers udnerneath in the amazing Weichmalerei style. Some nice gilding - lots of it raised to the sides over the flwoers. Just an amazing piece! The plaque / platter is meant to be shown off hanging on the wall! It is in superb condition with one spot to the left side of the left handle where the glding was touched up. Not a repair - tried to show it from both sides. It displays perfectly and looks stunning and elegant on my wall! The tray is 2 inches tall at the handles. 16.5 inches wide and 12 inches deep. It is marked underneath as shown with the under glaze blue scepter mark, the red orb, a gilder's or painter's mark as well as the usual impressed marks of the period.
