Weichmalerei Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by KPM in the early 20th century. It is handpainted superbly with flowers in the Weichmalerei style as well as a raised gold trim and a light green trim on the rim. Basketweave molding to the rim as well. This is as good a cup and saucer as one can get in this style. The handle on the cup ends in relief leaves which adds even more to this set. Both pieces are marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark as well as the red orb and various painters and impressed marks. The set is in great condition with a teeny glaze flake on the outside rim of the saucer that one really has to look for. The cup is 1.75 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
