Urbino Demitasse Cup & Saucer

This is a hard to find demitasse sized cup and saucer made by KPM right around the mid 20th century right after WWII. It is in the Urbino design and I ahve not come across a demitasse sized set before. The Urbino series of dishes is super elegant and usually as is the case here decorated simply with a hand painted very well done flower on each piece. That's it. Simple and very elegant as the shape is superb and the porcelain color quite nice. A touch off white and stark white as many other pieces are. This design from this period is one of the most elegant and delicate KPM ever made I think. Simple lines and thinnly potted with that nicely done single flower - just amazing! The cup & saucer are marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter with the S under it for the Selb location, the red orb mark as well as some painter's marks and the usual impressed marks as shown. The cup is 1.625 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and has a diameter of 5.125 inches. They are in perfect condition!
