Tea House Scenic Plate

This is a rare and superb plate made by KPM in in the mid 1920's. It is hand painted with a scene of the Tea House aka the Chinese House which is a garden pavilion in Sanssouci Park in Potsdam, Germany. The pavilion was designed in the then-popular Chinoiserie style, a mixture of ornamental rococo elements and parts of Chinese architecture. A really neat building that is surrounded by some trees. A few nice small flowers scattered throughout with a basketweave rim and a gold trim to the edge. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 9.75 inches in diameter. It is in perfect condition. The piece is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark, the red orb mark, the usual impressed letters and painter's marks normal to this period as well as the name of the scene in the front in black - Chinesisches Teehaus b. Sanssousi . Please email me for more information or other pictures.
