Set of 6 Amazing Vegetable Scene Plates

This is a super set of sixt vegetable plates made by KPM in the early 20th century. I used to own a set (though with different designs) that I sold and the wife was pretty bummed about that so I finally managed to find a new set - haven't told her yet :) Each plate is completely hand painted with a different vegetable scene including some mushrooms and a few other things. Each plate has a main theme to the center and then something smaller veggies or spices, etc. The rims have a relief basket weave pattern to them with a gold trim to the outside edge. All the plates are marked in black on the back as to what vegetable are painted on the front main part. Each plate is 1.25 inches tall and about 9.75 inches in diameter. They are all in great condition but one has a bit of stacking wear as you can see in the pictures. Each is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter as well as the red orb mark as well as the usual impressed marks and painter's and gilder's marks. The different plate themes are - Steinpilz , Pffefferling , Mousseron on one plate, Mispel and Gurke on anther, Blumenkohl or another (this one has the stacking wear), Artisckocke and Wachsbohne on another, Gruenling and Mohrruebe on another and lastly Porree and Mohrruebe on the last plate. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $6499
