Breslauer Stadtschloss Plate #1

This is a stunning reticulated plate in the Breslauer Stadtschloss pattern made by KPM in the early 20th century. The flowers from this period use a bit darker colors and they are larger and more detailed than the newer pieces that one finds most of the time. This plate has a large iris in the center with some smaller flowers and a butterfly underneath - my wife really loves the iris on this piece as it look quite real. The rim of the plate is reticulated which is really hard to find for this pattern with little raised forgetmenots all over, four cartouches of blue scale ground and gold leaves and lots of nice gold trim. A truly elegant plate! It is one of the nicest patterns in my view and looks very stunning when on display. The plate is in perfect condition and marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter as well as the red orb and various painters marks and the usual impressed marks. The piece is 1.25 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
