Superb Cactus Fruit Scene Plate

This is a superb plate made by KPM in 1913. It is has a very nice hand painted still life scene in the center that fills most of the white area which one only sees on their best examples. The plate has a combination of two cactus fruits aka prickly pears, some goose berries, strawberries and two nice flowers as part of the scene. The rim rim itself is painted with gold on a raised design. The plate is in perfect condition with a spot of wear on one of the fruit. The plate is 8.75 inches in diameter so a nice size and not one of the smaller versions. The piece is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter, the red orb mark, their anniversary mark, the usual painter's marks as well as the usual impressed marks of the period. There are also the names of the fruit shown on the front side written in black script - Kaktusfeige , Gartenerdbeere and Stachelbeere . These names are only found on their best work.
