Small Seger Glaze Teajar

This is a superb lidded vase, a ginger jar or just a small tea caddy made by KPM in the early 20th century. It is superbly handpainted with one of the famous Seger color styles with the underlying color being a darker blue and the top a greyish blue that "cracked" when it was fired and let the underlying color through. The effect is stunning! Top and bottom have a ring of just the underlying color and a gold trim. The piece is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark, the red orb mark, the usual impressed numbers and letter of the period and a painters mark of two dots which is repeated underneath the lid. The jar with the lid on is 5 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. The jar and lid are in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
