Set of 12 Apprentice Plates

This is a fun set of 12 plates made by KPM in the 20th century. They are all nicely painted with a floral arrangement in the center as well as three butterflies and three small flowers along the nicely shaped rim. Puce trim to the edge. These plates are second quality but what makes them interesting besides being cheaper than the first choice pieces is that they are signed pieces and not by the same person but by four or 5 different ones. I suspect these were painted by apprentices since that seems to be the only explanation to different signatures on a single set. Hausmaler peices would all be by the same painter. Plus these are all in the KPM style in terms of flowers and bugs. So this might be a very useful set for people studying KPM painters or writing about them and trying to figure out their styles, etc. Hey one of them might have moved on to becominga famous painter later on who knows? Either way a fun set of 12 plates with possibly some interesting history attached. These plates are 1.125 inches tall and 8.25 inches in diameter. All are in perfect condition and marked with the underglaze blue scepter mark with a line cut underneath as well as various impressed marks and painters marks as mentioned earlier.
