Set of 6 Palmleaf Reticulated Plates

This is a rare and superb set of 6 reticulated plates made by KPM in the early 20th century. They have one of the fanciest reticulations that KPM did and it is called Palmendurchbruch in German which translates to palm leaf reticulation which one can easily see in the design. Not a design one sees often at all but it originally dates to the 18th century. The rim is completely reticulated with the palm leaves closest to the well, three different designs above that and the little arches along the edge with small forget me nots flowers in between them. Lots of gold highlights and a gold trim along the edge of the well. The centers of the plates have a superb floral arrangement to it as well as some small single flowers and tiny leaves. The flowers of this period are superb - much nicer than more modern ones or even most earlier ones. The colors are nice and the detail top notch! The plates are in perfect condition! They are marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the over glaze red KPM orb mark showing it was painted by KPM and the usual impressed and artist marks as shown. The plates are about 1.375 inches tall and 9.875 inches in diameter - a nice size for use or display. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
