Set of 6 Jewelled Art Nouveau Plates

This is an amazingset of six Art Nouveau / Jugendstil plates made by KPM in the early 20th century. Each has a nicely shaped rim with three designs to it including a pink "jewel" as well as two light blue "jewel" in a gold trim most of which is raised. These three designs are connected with more gold trim along the edge to three smaller and simpler gold designs made up of a bit of raised gilding. These "jewels" are likely Seger colors which were used during this period but are quite rare. Sets like this are incredibly hard to find. Not the most intricate design ever but stunning and so Art Nouveau that you just have to love it! The plates are in superb condition. I don't think they were ever used but there is a touch of wear to the gilding. They display perfectly and look amazing! The plates are about 1.125 inches tall and 9.75 inches in diameter. Each is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb mark., a gilder's number as well the usual impressed marks of the period as shown. Each is a first choice piece.
