Scenic & Floral Lidded Box

This is a rare porcelain patch / jewelry / cigarette or whatever you like it to be used for lidded box made in the Art Nouveau period by KPM in the early 20th century during WWI. It comes in two pieces with the lid having a superb hand painted scene to the top including thee fishermen working - two in the boat and one in the water, some trees by their side and building in the background in a nice landscape surrounding. The scene is signed with the artist monogram as shown right udner the right bottom corner of the scene and again on the underside of the lid. The scene is framed with a nice design including a gold trim with a thin leaf garland over it with four nice floral designs in the corners. A little relief "pearl" design around the edge. The bottom part of the box has three floral designs to each side hand painted in different colors and is sitting on four feet. A bit of a relief design to the bottom and corner edges as swell as each of the feet. I ahve not come across this shape before and it is really niece. Great size to use unlike many boxes! It is just over 5.5 inches wide, 2.625 inches tall and 4 inches deep. The box is marked on the underside with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb mark as well as their black iron cross only used during the period of World War I. Some of the usual impressed marks and a painter's mark N in pink as shown. The box is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
