Queen Louise Bust

This is a great bust of Königin Luise (or Louise in Englisch) von Preußen made in biscuit porcelain with a glazed base. The figurine was modeled by Johann Carl Friedrich Riese and made in the early 19th century by KPM. The detail of the bust is amazing since it has not been covered up by the glaze is shows much more of the fine work done by the workers. The figurine is in perfect condition. Marked udnerneath with the udnerglaze blue scepter mark as well as the usual impressed / incised marks of the period. The figure is 10.5 inches tall, 3 inches deep and 5 inches wide.
