Potsdamer Stadtschloss Reticulated Plate #54

This is a superb reticulated plate made by KPM in the early 20th century. Some of my favorite plates are from this service! The piece is decorated with the Potsdamer Stadtschloss decor with this being the reticulated version which is much harder to find than the regular plates. The piece is hand painted with a nice larger floral arrangement including a large tulip tulip and some smaller purple and yellow flowers in the center as well as floral garlands along the edge of the well and alternating reticulated panels - one more simple and the other one with a flowering branch design. The reticulated panels are superb with lots of detail to the edges and then there are the designs that break up the panels that have some superb gold work some of which is on a raised design to the paste and go into the well of the plate. Hard to explain so have a look at the pictures! The gold work is amazing and makes this a stunning plate! The plate is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the over glaze red KPM orb mark showing it was painted by KPM and the usual impressed and gilder's marks as shown. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 8.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
