Potsdamer Stadtschloss Dessert Plate

This is a superb reticulated dessert plate made by KPM in the early 20th century. Some of my favorite plates are from this service! The piece is decorated with the Potsdamer Stadtschloss decor including a hand painted nice larger floral arrangement including a red poppy and fancy carnations as well as floral swags along the edge of the well and alternating panels of two different reticulated designs. The reticulated panels are superb with lots of detail to the edges and the flowering branch is stunning. These panels a devided up by sold areas with designs that have some superb gold work some of which is on a raised design to the paste and go into the well of the plate. The gold work is amazing and makes this a stunning plate! Hard to describe all that detail so just ahve a look at the pictures! The plate is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the over glaze red KPM orb mark showing it was painted by KPM and the usual impressed and artist marks as shown. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 8.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
