Polychrome Floral Knife & Fork Set #4

This is a great knife and fork set made by KPM in the 18th century. Each pistol grip handle has two hand painted floral arrangements to it in the typical style of KPM as well as a couple of small single flowers with a relief design to the top of flowers that are highlighted in pink with gold trim which is mostly worn away now. The metal parts were added later or replaced - not sure. The ferrules are made of silver with a nice design to it and the fork is silver as well but the knife blade is just made of regular metal. The metal parts do not go all the way through to the end of the porcelain which is common to some makers early on but these are certainly made by KPM around this time period. The knife is in great condition with the already mentioned wear to the gold trim and some oxidation to the silver / metal parts but not bad at all. The fork handle has been badly damaged as shown but it is there and could be restored. The fork is marked to the backside as shown with an 1838 Vienna Austria Sterling Silver hallmark. The fork is 7.625 inches long of which 3.25 inches is the length of the visible porcelain handle. The knife is 9.25 inches long of which 3.25 inches is the length of the visible porcelain handle. The handles are about 0.875 inches wide. The porcelain is not marked or shall we say visibly marked since it would be hidden by the ferrule if it were to be marked which is normal. I have three other sets as well as matching spoons though these are just made of silver without the porcelain handles. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
