Palmleaf Reticulated Plate #4

This is a superb reticulated plate made by KPM in the early 20th century. This is one of the fanciest reticulations they did and it is called Palmendurchbruch in German which translates to palm leaf reticulation which one can easily see in the design. The rim is completely reticulated with the palm leaves closest to the well, three different designs above that and the little arches along the edge with small forget me nots flowers in between them. Lots of gold highlights and a gold trim along the edge of the well. The center of the plate has a superb floral arrangement to it as well as some small single flowers and tiny leaves. The flowers of this period are superb much nicer than more modern ones or even most earlier ones. The colors are nice and the detail top notch! The plate is in great condition with two really tiny flat underside edge chips as shown - both are glazed over so from when the plate was made and they do not affect the plate at all and can only be seen from the underside not the top or even side view. The plate is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the over glaze red KPM orb mark showing it was painted by KPM and the usual impressed and artist marks as shown. The plate is 1.375 inches tall and 9.75 inches in diameter - a nice size for use or display. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
