Orange Scenic Cup & Saucer #1

This is a cup and saucer made by KPM in the early 20th century. The cup is nicely handpainted with two orange scenes of a cherub in the clouds with some flowers as well as the nice gold trim of the Neuzierat line of porcelain. It is a raised leaf design painted with gilding and also has a nice gilding to the inside of the cup. The top rim is filled in with a peach ground color and a gold design which makes this extra nice. Nice handle shape! The saucer has two orange scenes of a more artsy nature with some woodworking tools including a plane on one side and an iron and a pair of scissors on the other. Same gold trim and orange flowers as the cup. Both pieces are in perfect condition. Both are marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark, the red orb as well as various painter's / gilder's marks and the usual impressed marks of this period. There are also the usual impressed marks. The cup is 2.25 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 4.5 inches in diameter.
