Orchid Scene Neuzierat Plate

This is a superb plate made by KPM in the early 20th century. It has a very nice hand painted still life floral scene in the center that fills most of the white area which I think are by far their best examples. This plate here has a combination of different orchid blossoms as well as some smaller different flowers around the edge of the scene as part of the stunning scene. The rim rim itself is painted with gold on a raised design. The plate is in perfect condition. It is 8.5 inches in diameter so a nice size and not one of the smaller versions. The piece is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter, the red orb mark, as well as the usual painter's / gilder's and impressed marks of the period.
