Leopard Figurine

This is a rare figurine of one of the great cats made by KPM in the 20th century. It looks to be in the same style as the pieces from the early 20th century in the Art Nouveau period but I am not quite sure from when this piece is. It is of a leopard that is sitting on a oval base. Superbly modeled and hand painted with piercing green eyes - just fantastic! I have been trying to find out more about it but have not been able to find another one at all. So definitely not something you will come across often. The figure is in great condition with some manufacturing flaws but it is still a first choice piece which is a bit odd. The only flaw that really is visible when on display is a firing flaw to the side of the base where an impurity burned out and left a black hole. Otherwise the piece is superb! The figurine is about 4.5 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter, their red orb, a painter's mark as well as an unusual impressed mark which I cannot make out - looks a bit like a Roman numeral V with a name in script under it but it is impossible to see properly. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
