Laterna Magica Figurine

This is a very rare figurine of an interesting subject made by KPM in the early 20th century. This is a very rare model to find but this same figure was also made by Chelsea / Derby and Sevres but I am not sure if they copied them from each other or it was done from an engraving. I assume it is the latter. The subject is of a lady looking into a laterna magica devise the earliest precursor to our modern day movies. There is a gentleman to the side and a child next to her. The piece is hand painted in the superb and rare under glaze colors and some above glaze colors as well from the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period! The figurine is in perfect condition and looks amazing! Doesn't get much better than this. The figurine is 6.75 inches tall, 7.125 inches wide and 5.125 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb as well as the usual impressed numbers and marks and some painter's marks as shown. Not a piece you will see again anytime soon if ever! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $2749
