Large Oakleaf Scene Plate

This is a plate made by KPM in during WWI. It is handpainted with the rarest design on these plates of this style - the tree branch / leaf motif. This one is of branch of an oak tree with the branch, the leaves and the seeds shown. Kind of the German version of the Flora Danica :) Just an amazingly detailed painting. The rim itself is painted with gold on a raised design. The plate is in perfect condition. It is the super rare dinner plate size which is very very hard to find! 11.125 inches in diameter and 1.375 inches tall. The plate is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter, the red orb mark, the black iron cross, some black numbers, a gold painter's mark and the usual impressed marks of this period.
