Grand Duke Monogram Plate

This is a really nice and rare plate made by KPM in the early 20th century for some sort of Grand Duke of one of the German states under the German Reich. Not sure which one yet but I'll try to look into it some more. If you should know a quick email would always be appreciated! The plate has a nice shape to it with the indents along the edge, gold trim to the rim and around the well edge and a superb and very fancy large mongram WA or AW under the grand ducal crown in the center. The crown is superbly done in polychrome with lots of gold details and the letters are in gold with tooled details. Looks amazing! A very elegant plate with a nice provenance. The plate is in superb condition with some minor use marks. It is 1.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 9.875 inches. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb as well as the usual impressed marks common to these pieces. Looks like there is also a museum ID under it and some other later applied red numbers. and an old sticker. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1249
