Kaiser Friedrich III Bust

This is a rare bust of Kaiser Friedrich III ( Frederick III) made by KPM in the early 20th century. He was German Emperor and King of Prussia for ninety-nine days in 1888. He was the son of Kaiser Wilhelm I . He suffered from cancer and died soon after his father did and he became empror of Germany in 1888. The bust is very nicely modeld in parian porcelain so there would be no glaze to hide all those fine details. The cobalt blue base with tooled gold trim looks stunning combined with the white bust. The base and bust are one piece. The figurine is about 7.5 inches tall, 5.125 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter with a blue letter under it, the red orb as well as an impressed letter S and a painter's mark D on the base rim as shown. The figure is in great condition with a slight chip to the bottom front right corner area which took a piece of the medeal off as shown. The bust displays perfectly! Not a piece you will see again anytime soon! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
