Judgement of Paris Figure

This is a large and superb figurine made by KPM in 1903 during the Art Nouveau period in which they used these superb softer colors called Weichmalerei. The figure shows the Judgement of Paris with Paris sitting to the right facing backward holding a bow in his right hand, Aphrodite in the center holding the golden apple in her left hand, a cherub in front of her holding a torch and two putti to the left side one holding a quiver with arrows and the other a single arrow. There is a ton of detail to this piece including some seashells, two birds and a dog. Doesn't get better than this from KPM of this period! The figure is in superb condition with the tip of the arrow missing that the one putti is holding as well as a tiny chip to the tip of the right wing of the cherub though that is impossible to spot unless you look for it. The piece needs a cleaning but otherwise it is amazing! It displays perfectly! The figurine is about 8.5 inches tall, 8.75 inches wide and 8.75 inches deep. Very heavy! It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter, a painter's mark as well as the usual impressed marks of the period. It used to have the red orb mark as well but that was scratched away not sure why. EIther someone wanted to make it appear to be older than it actually is which is stupid since the colors and the artist / painter's mark gives it away or I have seen pieces that had the mark removed during the war to make them seem less valuable to looters but we'll never know. It was definitely painted by KPM which can be seen by the extra painter's mark! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
