Historism Charger

This is a fntastic charger / large plate / wall plaque made by KPM in the late 19th to early 20th century. This style was only used around this period and I think it was called Historism revival but it looks to have followed more the Italian majolica if you ask me. It was a popular way of painting for a short period and looks stunning on the wall! Still very popular with collectors these days. This plate shows a ruin scene with agave plants to the let and two men to the right. The ocean or a large lake in the distance on the right with another antique building in the background on the left side. Lots of trees and greenery mixed in. The charger is in perfect condition which is really nice! It is 1.375 inches tall and has a diameter of 13.75 inches so quite large. There are two holes in the footring for hanging. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter, the red orb as well as a black artist or pattern marks by the footring and impressed marks common to the period. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
