Weichmalerei Girl Portrait Cup & Saucer

This is a superb and rare small cup and saucer made by KPM in the early 20th century. The cup is nicely handpainted with a portrait of a girls head with a cute face, She is wearinga floral garland (think) on her head and a bow around her neck. Not a design you see often at all. Lots of superb gold trim some of it filled in with a light greenish color, some blue and gold floral sprigs and floral arrangements in the Weichmalerei colors. More nice gold trim to the inside of the cup. The saucer has the same design to it wxcept it has two floral arrangements and no portrait. Nice handle shape to the cup! There is a raised line design to the panels with the blue and gold floral sprigs in it. Both pieces are in perfect condition and are marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark, the red orb as well as various painter's / gilder's marks and the usual impressed marks of this period. There are two black firing spots on the inside bottom from the making. The cup is 1.75 inches tall and 2 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.5 inches tall and 4.25 inches in diameter.
