Gilded Freedom Bill

This is a bell ( called the freedom or Freiheits Glocke ) hand painted in gold and made by KPM and dated October 24, 1950 ( for the rebuilding after WWII). It is hand painted on a relief designs of people holding torches in a circle all around the piece as well as a leaf design and the saying on the bottom rim: That This World Under God Shall Have A New Birth Of Freedom. A very fitting saying even today. Top is written Berlin 24-10-1950. The bell is in perfect condition as shown. Marked inside with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the over glaze red KPM orb mark showing it was painted by KPM. Also some numbers in black as shown. The bell is 4.5 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
