Floral Serving Tray

This is a tray / serving platter with the blank made by KPM in the early 20th century. The design is called Neuzierat and a tray is not an easy piece to find for this service. It has the typical relief scrolls with the leaves jutting into the platter from the rim. This could be used as a serving tray or to hold a tete a tete or solitaire on it. The tray is hand painted probably by a decorating studio in theDresden area judging by the flowers. There is a large floral arrangement on one side with three small flowers as well as four butterfliesy filling in the rest of the space. Gold trim to the edge as well as the handles. Nice looking piece! The tray is in great condition but someone did repaint the gilding in a few areas because it was worn. No repairs, chips, etc. It displays perfectly! The tray is 2 inches tall at the handle ends, 17 inches long and 12.5 inches wide. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark and the usual impressed marks pieces of this period have. Cut mark under the scepter to denote it being a second choice piece.
