Figural Salt Dish

This is a figural open salt or spice dish made by KPM around 1835. There is a figurine of a putto in the center with a bowl on either side held up by a nice base with three feet. One see these here and there but usually without the painters mark or brand new. This piece was painted by KPM and is quite old! The bowls are nicely handpainted with a floral and gold design and the putto is handpainted nicely as well. Nice gold trim to the base. The piece is in super condition with a small glaze hairline in the right bowl right by his left leg. Almost impossible to spot and completely stable! The piece is 4.875 inches tall, 5.25 inches wide and 3.125 inches deep. It is marked with the underglaze blue scepter mark as well as the red orb mark underneath. There is also an incised mark I cannot quite make out. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
