Figural Chalice

This is a superb chalice or cup made by KPM around 1860. You see this model once in a while and I always liked it but it is almsot never painted by KPM for some reason and is always missing th red orb mark. So I was thrilled to find one painted by them and it was a must have for me. The top cup part has a nice gold design to the inside rim and a blue and gold design to the outside with the rest of the bowl having a ncie blue ground color. The foot has three figurines rested on it doing different things. The lady is holding a pitcher in one hand and a spool of yarn (I thin) in the other, The boy is kneeling next to her and holding a bowl while the other boy is holding a wheel in one hand and a spinning wheel in the other. He is wearing a yarmulke that is gilded. The figurines are unglazed white porcelain with some gold accents to them. The round base is glazed and gilded. A really nice cup - quite elegant. The piece is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter with the pfennig (penny) mark underneath, the red orb as well as incised script letter or symbol I cannot make out. The cup is 5.25 inches tall and 3.375 inches in diameter. It is in superb condition with a minor firing flaw to the top inside rim that was gilded over during the making as shown.
