Duck Scene Charger

This is an amazing Art Nouveau / Jugendstil scenic charger / large plate / wall plaque made by KPM in the early 20th century. It is handpainted with a superb scene of some ducks in a landscape surrounding including their pond, a house in the background and lots of grass and trees. The super high quality scene is surrounded with some nice gilding some of which is raised and is signed by the artist in the bottom right hand corner something that is very rare with KPM and only happens on their very best pieces by O.Graebner for Otto Gräbner - a painter at KPM that painted some superb animal scenes but is otherwise a bit of a mystery as very little is known about him nowadays. I have only ever owned one other signed piece and that was by the famous Aullich . Just an amazing piece that looks very life like. As good as any plaque painted by them with a bit more unusual theme which is nice! There is even a gold line around the footring! Definitely not something you will find again! The charger is in perfect condition which is really nice! It is 1.75 inches tall and has a diameter of 15.5 inches so very large - about as big a piece as I have ever seen by them. There are two holes in the footring for hanging. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter, the red orb as well as a black artist or pattern mark and the usual impressed marks common to the period.
