Angel Scene Neuzierat Cup & Saucer

This is a superb cup and saucer made by KPM in the early 20th century. Both pieces are hand painted with two high quality angel / cupid scenes with the angels sitting on a cloud. Two are holding musical isntruments, one has a bow and arrows while the last one just seems to be relaxing. An amazing raised gold trim in between the scenes and along the rim as well as more gold trim to the inside rim of the cup and the nicely shaped handle. This style of design is called Neuzierat and it is quite popular even today and the angel scenes are the nicest design they made of this style I think. The set is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the red orb and the usual painter's and impressed marks of this period. The cup & saucer are in perfect condition. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 4.375 inches in diameter. The cup is 2.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.375 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
