Ceres Dinner Plate #2

This is a rare and superb dinner plate made by KPM during the early 20th century right after WWI. The plate is hand painted with cornucopias fileld with fruit as well as leaves and flwoers and a gold design based on wheat on a raised design and is from the famous Ceres Service designed by Theodor Schmuz-Baudiss for the 150 year anniversary of the manufactory in 1912. It is the most famous of the Jugenstil / Art Nouveau services I believe and the name comes from the Roman goddess of fertility and agriculture. Hence the cornucopias, etc. I cannot say I ahve come across a dinner sized plate before from this service so definitely not something you see often. The plate is in good condition - perfect from the top but has one chip to the foot ring on the underside as shown. Doesn't affect display nor the ability to be used. Time to have your dinner in style! :) The plate is 1.125 inches tall and 10 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark, the red orb, the green TSB mark, Royal Berlin in black as well as the usual painter's and impressed marks. A truly superb piece!
