Brandenburg Gate Perfume Egg

This is a very rare perfume bottle in the shape of an egg made by KPM in the late 19th or early 20th century. One of the best I ahve ever seen! It is handpainted with a superb scene in the front of the Brandenburger Tor and its surrounding buildings. The scene has an amazing raised gold trim around it in the Art Nouveau style of this period with the areas between the gold trim around the top having a light yellow ground color. The back of the egg has a top notch Weichmalrei floral arrangement on it with more raised gold trim. This is as good a piece as you will find of these perfume flakons. It still has its original metal stopper lid which is amazing and it even still has the original cork on it though the cork has shrunk a bit from age and use. It still fits nicely. The egg is in perfect condition! The piece is unmarked which is always the case with these eggs as there is no good spot to do so without killing the decoration. The egg is 2.25 inches tall plus about 0.75 inches if you include the stopper and 1.875 inches in diameter. It comes with a little metal stand that works perfectly for it and looks stunning with the egg! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $3499
