Schuetz Blumenschiff Vase

This is a vase made by KPM in the 1950's. This piece is called a flower boat ( Blumenschiff) and was designed by Sigmund Schütz in 1953. It consists of a white porcelain elongated bowl on a wooden base covered with a piece of brass. This one here comes with its flower frog insert which is often gone since it is a separate piece that just fits into the inside bottom. The vase is in great condition with the wood a bit dried out but a quick round of oil will fix that and the brass could use a bit of polishing! The piece is 5.75 inches tall, 3.375 inches wide and 13 inches long. It is marked on the inside with the underglaze blue scepter mark. The flower frog is also white in color (the photos show it more off white but it plain white in person), hollow on the inside and has a nice design to the top. The piece is also in perfect condition. It is 1.5 inches tall, 6.25 inches wide and about 2.5 inches deep. It is marked on the side with the under glaze blue scepter mark as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
