Blue Feathered Cockatoo

This is a superb figurine of a cockatoo bird made by KPM in the 20th century in the Art Nouveau or Jugendstil style. The bird is modeled superbly and very elegantly painted. I especially like the branch and leaves he is sitting on and the fact that he has blue feathers instead of the usual yellow ones. The figure is in perfect condition. The piece is 9.75 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep. The figurine is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter as well as the red orb mark and the usual impressed marks from this period. First choice.
