Blanc de Chine Scheurich Figurine #3

This is really nice and large blanc de chine figurine first modeled by Paul Scheurich for KPM in the early 1940's. I cannot decipher the date code but it appears to be from this earlier period. Part of the " birth of beauty " series it is of a male putto riding a dolphin with water underneath while holding a fish in his hand. The dolphin and putto are both really nicely modeled and so much fun to look at - very typical of his work! Nicely modeled with lots of detail and left in the white to show it all off. The figurine is in perfect condition which always helps. It is 9.125 inches tall, 4.625 inches deep and 7.875 inches wide. It is marked with the under glaze blue scepter mark (first choice) as well as the usual impressed marks of the period as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
