Blanc de Chine Pedestal Basket

This is a really nice pedestal plate / compote / dish / tazza made by KPM in the early 20th century. It has a reticulated basket to the top thatl sits on top of a base made up of four cherubs / angels standing on a smaller round base holding up the dish with their arms and heads. The piece is glazed but not painted. I have never seen this model before and it is very nice.Lots of nice detail to it including the cherubs and even some grass and flwoers where they stand on the base. The reticulation of the basket is really fine. The dish displays nicely but sadly there are two spots along the rim of the basket that have been restored - one just the edge but the other looks deeper - possibly a crack that went down into it with some edge damage. One of the Cherubs has its outstretched arm and possibly the wing next to it reattached. One minor chip to the edge of the base. Having said all that it really displays nicely as the restoration was done well and has just discolored a bit from age. One could easily find another basket to add to the top and voila it would be perfectly fine. The bottom base is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark and the usual impressed marks as shown. The piece 7.5 inches tall and 7.125 inches in diameter at the top.
