Magpie w/ Snail Figurine

This is a large blanc de Chine figurine made by KPM in the 20th century. It is a figure of a magpie sitting on a tree stump looking at a snail making its way up the trunk. A very well modeled piece with lots of detail left in the white to show it all off. There is a branch to either side with a small branch that still has a single leaf on it. The snail is just superb as is the beak of the bird! The figurine is in great condition with two of the snail's feelers chipped off. Never knew some had four as I only remember the ones with two so it's really not super obvious and displays nicely as is. The figure is 10.875 inches tall, 7 inches wide and 6.5 inches deep plus quite heavy which makes it nice and stable when on display. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter as well as some impressed marks common to this period as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
