Scheurich Birth of Beauty Figurine #2

This is a fun blanc de chine figurine first modeled by Paul Scheurich in the early 1940's and made by KPM Berlin of Germany. Part of the " birth of beauty " series it is of a lady putto riding a dolphin with water underneath while holding a fish in her hand. A truly fun piece to look at and very typical of his work! A very well modeled figurine with lots of detail and left in the white to show it all off. The figurine is in perfect condition except for a tiny roughness on the udnerside tail ege which looks to be a glaze pop from when it was made. Impossible to see so the piece displays perfectly! The figure is 8.875 inches tall, 5.75 inches deep and 4.75 inches wide. It is marked with the under glaze blue scepter as well as the usual impressed marks as shown. Price is $499
