Best Neuzierat Plate Ever

This is something special. I own and have owned some amazing Neuzierat plates by KPM over the years but this one is by far the nicest I ahve ever come across! The plate is hand painted in the Weichmalerei style and was made in the early 19th century during the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period. The entire surface of the plate is hand painted with a top notch flower design including some end stage flowers that look dried, a poppy seed pod, some leaves and grasses with a superb moth and bee flying above. Normally these are done in fruit designs or flowers in the center but to have this sort of amazing design covering the entire plate is very unusual. I do own plates with this sort of painting but not in the Neuzierat style with the relief rim that is superbly gilded. It's a stunning look! An instant favorite for my wife :) w I cannot tell you how amazing this plate looks so have a look at the picture to get an idea - though it looks better in real life. A truly superb plate and it is in superb condition. The piece is 1 inches tall and 8.5 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb mark as well as a gilder's mark and a red Mx as a painter's mark which I assume is for the famous Paul Miethe! The usual impressed marks as well as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1999
