Berlin Scene Plate #2

This is a rare and superb plate made by KPM in the early 20th century. It is handpainted with a scene of the Roemische Baeder bei the Charlottenhof in the center surrounded by a nice landscape including water, trees and bushes. A few nice small flwoers scattered throughout with a basketweave rim and a gold trim to the edge. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 9.75 inches in diameter. It is in great condition with three small knife marks in the scene which don't distract from the piece at all. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark, the red orb mark, the usual impressed letters and painter's marks normal to this period as well as the name of the scene in the front in black - Römische Bäder bei the Charlottenhof.
