Art Nouveau Rooster Figurine

This is a nice figurine of a pecking rooster made by KPM in the 20th century. It was first designed by the famous Wilhelm Robra in the early 20th century and this piece dates to sometime around this period. The chicken is nicely modeled and one of those fancy breeds with the feathered feet. It is hand painted in their famous under glaze colors which are not seen often but look amazaing. The figure displays nicely but has a chip to the back of a feather on his feet which blends in perfectly and he has had work done on his comb where a piece of the back end was restored perfectly. The figurine is about 5.375 inches tall, 4.125 inches wide and 6 inches long. The piece is very well marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the blue orb, some black numbers and letter and also impressed numbers, etc. as well as the artist initials RW in the back on one of his feet. There is an incised line under the letters KPM which donotes it being a second choice. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
