Art Nouveau Raised Plate

This is a great litte pedestal plate made by KPM in the early 20th century. It is handpainted in the Art Nouveau style with a fancy design on the rim including little purple beads, an ornage color as well as some nice gilding. A very unusual rim design and not one I have seen before incorporating the Seger colors which were pretty new around that time. The foot has the same design on it! The center of the dish has a nice red currant scene including the leaves handpainted on it. The plate is in perfect condition. It is 1.625 inches tall and 7.25 inches in diameter - perfect for some cookies :) Marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter and the red orb mark as well as the usual impressed and painter's marks. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
