Ruff Bird Scene Plate

This is a really nice Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period plate made by KPM in the early 20th century. The plate is hand painted with a bird scene includinga male and female Ruff in a nice landscape surrounding. The rim is decorated in the Jugendstil style with raised gold scrolls as well as some leaves and flowers and a slightly greenish ground color between the scrolls which is hard to see in the pictures. A truly superb plate and it is in superb condition. The piece is 1.125 inches tall and just under 9.75 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter as well as the red orb mark as well as a painter's mark, some numbers and the usual impressed marks of the period as shown.
