Helmarshausen Plate

This is a plate made by KPM in 1915. It was handpainted by someone like Julius Menzel (it is not signed) in the Art Nouveau or Jugendstil style with a scene of a a town called Helmarshausen an der Diemel. Very nice colors and detail! The rim is nicely done as well not being the boring old kind but a bit wavy. The plate is in perfect condition. It is 7.75 inches in diameter and marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter, the red orb mark, the underglaze blue iron cross of the first world war, the number 50/39 in black, two artist marks, the impressed letter P with four dots around it and another impressed mark. Also the title Helmarshausen a.d.Diemel in black. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
