Set of 12 Arkadia Dinner Plates

This is a set of twelve plates made by KPM during the mid 20th century. They are from the Arkadia service which is known for its sleep design and off course unglazed medallions. Here we have the dinner plates which are fully glazed except for that superb medallion on the rim of a nude lady surrounded by tall grases. Very common to this service to have some ladies as part of the design. This is one of the few services that are easy to use since there is no gilding or painting to wear off. We use ours often and even put them in the dishwasher and they've lasted ages already. 11 plates are in perfect condition and one has a small edge chip as shown. Not obvious and perfect for use - we give the chipped ones to the kids :) Each plate is about 1.125 inches tall and 10.25 inches in diameter. Each is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter with the letter S under it for the Selb location plus some of the usual impressed marks as shown. First choice. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1499
